"(86440.610000) CWMP: Download file, FileType=4, FileName=5A-FixMajorUpgrade-4.1.tar.gz.aes.rsa.signed, Username=, CommandKey=1948488430"

like this

narrow the search by changing from 'all' to TR069

I've had two downloads according to my logs.

(864038.350000) CWMP: Download file, FileType=4, FileName=5A-FixMajorUpgrade-4.1.tar.gz.aes.rsa.signed, Username=, CommandKey=1949681290

This one downloaded and applied to my hh5 ^^

(864042.310000) CWMP: Session start now. Event code(s): '7 TRANSFER COMPLETE,M Download,4 VALUE CHANGE'

See?

This one didn't apply though I'm confused.

(864047.280000) CWMP: Download file, FileType=4, FileName=5A-FixMajorUpgrade-4.1.tar.gz.aes.rsa.signed, Username=, CommandKey=1949681339

Does it matter if I'm using the hh5 with my locked eci modem? I'm still not savvy whatsoever lol.
Thanks.
Mark.

'Twas ever thus, unfortunately. You never ever get any form of technical explanation of problems or explanation of what is going on. You only have to look at the mail migration debacle to realise that. As I have said on numerous occasions, BT prefer 'the mushroom' approach to customers.

You're dead right, dear Licko.   No public accountability; that's Beattie's problem; and it has been since the dark day of privatisation (20 November 1984 or "Terrible Tuesday" as it's known to many).

Of course, back in the Golden Age, when the G.P.O. was still ours; still owned by We the People, it did as it was damn well told.

Postmaster General - the Minister of Telecommunications - was the irreplaceable Anthony Wedgwood Benn (a true "Call me Tony").  Unswerving champion of all in his Ministry, socialist stalwart of the G.P.O.; a true man of the People.

As happy up a telegraph pole helping a rookie engineer trace a split pair, as he was in parliament puffing his pipe-smoke over the idiots opposite.

Any problem, however trivial - just a stiff jelly-crimper perhaps - you just called up Tony from your linesman's handset, and he'd roll up his sleeves and sort it within the hour.

Now THAT, dear Licko, was public accountability.

*sigh*

Is your inbuilt HH5 wireless switched ON or OFF? In particular the 2.4 GHz band?
If it's OFF, switch it ON.

And no harm in trying the factory reset - pin in the back of the router, into the small hole.

Thanks for your help veeeight 🙂

I have both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz as seperate SSID's, and the wireless is turned on. I also have the Sync with 2.4 GHz set to No. Is is better to have 2 seperate SSID's when you have 2 bands?

Cheers

Andrew

Advice on this forum seems to be to switch off Smart Wireless, Seperate the bands, different SSID's.

As per this post:

I found the above in my event log ok, but doesn't this just refer to the download of the file? How do we know it's been applied ok?

For info, my latest log messages from the download onwards are:

Which of these indicates a successful application of the fix? There are a couple of CWMP close errors.

You have stated the problem well.

I am waiting for 'signs & portents'

The National debt will be wiped out & honest, plain speaking politicians will appear on the horizon.
