We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
So i got rid of the HomeHub and bought a Archer VR600 , got it all set up fine with WiFi and Ipv4 but i enabled IpV6 this morning and did a test over on IPV6 test website.
Got a score of 18/20 and the bad one said
"Your router or firewall is filtering ICMPv6 messages sent to your computer. An IPv6 host that cannot receive ICMP messages may encounter problems like some web pages loading partially or not at all."
I dont use the Windows fiirewall, its turned off , infact i dont use a Firewall at all , so what settings do i need to change to get this a 20/20 score
EDIT - nevermind,i double checked the Firewall settings and it had re-enabled due to the new connection,i have turned it off now and i am getting a 20/20 score
You don't have a problem per se. The router is just not responding to pings from the internet. This is good from a security point of view. It's unlikely to cause any issues, all the routers I have used have been configured not to respond to ping. (ICMP).
The test site indicates all is working as it should.
