Help Smart Hub 2 WIFI 2.4 - 5GHZ

HI, I have recently upgraded to fttp and I am really happy with the fibre service, however we have a mixture of devices using the 2.4GHZ and 5.0 GHZ band, frequently devices are dropping off the network (Apple speakers in particular) also my Hive and other Smart devices just seem to loose connection with the wider network, since BT removed the separate SSID;s my home WIFI has not worked well. Streaming in particular seems to be affected most. I have resulted to taking an holder home hub and turning it into a AP with just the 2.4 ghz band on it with a separate SSID and this works for my surround sound system (most of the time)! Any ideas would be really helpful before the wife throws all the gadgets out of the happy home!

If you have not already done it you should make sure you turn off "smart setup" on the Smarthub.

See link how to do that.

Re: Help Smart Hub 2 WIFI 2.4 - 5GHZ

Apparently there is also a known bug on these hubs for devices communication between those freqs.  Not sure if that means stuff drops off, but we've had no end of issues with our SH in the last few months before we got disconnected.

If its related they say either contact BT to get the fix or wait until end of month when it will be deployed to all.
