Help - wrong cabinet

Hello,

I moved house about 9 months ago. Long story, but i am still getting a speed of about 2.5mbps because the engineer said i was connected to a cabinet which is about 2-3kms away (another village). We have a new cabinet about 100 yards from our house but it appears the house is not connected to it (we are across the road from it  -one of two houses). It appears that the rest of the village is getting anything between 15 to 30-40mbps. So i am trying to get BT/Openreach to connect me to the closest cabinet. So far no luck, BT says it is Openreach's problem, Openreach is not responding to my queries. Any ideas? This seems like a simple problem to deal with in 2018 (dig the road, add a cable, reconnect, reprogramme the cabinets...)

Not going to happen. Openreach will not reroute anyone for a broadband connection. Their remit is to supply a phoneline, that they have done. There have been many posts on this in the past and they all end up with the same answer.
