Last Friday night my broadband went down about 9pm and didn't come back on until about 4am. Apart from that I keep getting line drops that last about 3-5 minutes randomly but it's happening frequently. Compared to all the other ISP's I have been with over the past 20 years the service has been a disgrace in the past few months since I joined BT.
When my service went down last Friday the strange thing was that my youview box could still connect to iplayer etc on the internet and my mobile phone could also connect onto the internet. Via my mobile I was able to get the number on the BT site to phone the helpline which remotely reset my router but to no avail. I would just like to know what happened as Friday night is my partner and I's "party night" and we like to listen to music on youtube etc so it ruined our weekend having no access and nowhere is there an explanation for this.
I did try another PC and it was exactly the same no access to the internet.
How can I speak to someone about this? Any help appreciated thanks!
Also.....how can I check the service in my area when I don't have a landline?
