Dear community,
My broadband package is superfast fibre 1 56mb according to my BT bill. However, I recently noticed my sync speed is only 39999kb and it's been like that for quite a long time. So apparently my broadband was capped to superfast fibre essential. Is there any way to find out the exact date when it was capped? My contract started two years ago so I might be on this essential package for the last two years without noticing it! I feel really unfair that I haven't got what I've been paying for.
Thanks in advance.

check you hub log stats and filter to WAN should see connections
this speed could also be due to problems with your connection dropping often post hub stats if hh6 then advanced settings then technical log information if hh5 then troubleshooting then helpdesk
enter your phone number and post results remember delete number https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
check MYBT and see what package it shows for broadband
Hi imjolly,
Thanks for your reply. I can't check the dsl stats of my router right now as I'm not at home. Below are the dslchecker results and the package name under MYBT. As you may see there is no technical fault on my line. I was just wrongly set to a wrong IP profile for the essential package.
you are not necessarily on the wrong package as I said in original post this connection speed of 39999 is common if you have had or are having connection problems and the DLM has put your connection in a banded profile. need you hub stats and also check your router logs as suggested
I don't think this has anything to do with dlm as I said it's been very stable for more than 2 weeks, no router reboot or whatsoever. 39999 is definitely the capped sync speed for the essential package (36mb).
just need to wait until you can get stats and logs to see what is happening

DLM can cap a line for months, 39999 is one of the speeds when it applies banding.

Above are my line states. However, there's no log at all for the last 22 days. I'm using a third party router so no errors or disconnection or reset at all since the last reboot.
Looking at the router stats I agree with you that you for some reason have had your package changed from 55/10 to 40/10mb. Have you recontracted recently?
are you using test socket?
You could try phoning options team on 0800800030 and see if they can help. If no joy then post back and we can see if mods can help
