How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

About a month back my Hub6a started to resync

slowly the ip profile has gone down from 77.35 to about 62mb

all the bt tests landline and broadbad show stable

the router is in the test socket from the last time 9 months ago it happened then

Had to get a openreach guy to visit and to call wholesale to reset the line

the router has just updated from the 2244 to the new SG4B1000B316

but speed has to gone back

current details

Firmware version:

SG4B1000B316

Firmware updated:

30-Jul-2017

-

Board version:

1.0

Gui version:

1.64.0

DSL uptime:

0 Days, 21 Hours 19 Minutes 7 Seconds

Data rate:

15.00 Mbps / 67.00 Mbps

Maximum data rate:

22154 / 88390

Noise margin:

10.4 dB / 11.2 dB

Line attenuation:

15.4 dB

i do notice the download max shows 89 mb

does than mean btopenreach and wholesale have been upgrading the dslams and that is the reason for the dropouts

and the profile dropping so much

80Mbit, getting stuck at slower speed.

Yep got the same issue

router started about a month back resyncing

on the hub6a i was at alnost max speed ip profile 77.35

profile kept dropping roumer resyncing

All bt tests showed line was ok

So went back to my old hub5a will the resyncin was happening on that as well.

software updated on hub5a wow

but stilll resyncing

gone back to Hub6a

rung bt to be told as we gaurentee to 59 mb you are getting above that so line ok

Nothing about the line resyncing   router is in the test socket of the nte5c

From when i had the same dropping 6 months ago

nothing wrong with the line ....but openreach came out contacted wholesale who reset the line

speed went back up to 80mb

So are wholesale doing some upgrades again causing the resync

the line ok came from the India helpdesk following all there guide lines and scripts again

these are the currecnt speeds

Data rate:

15.00 kbps / 67.00 kbps

Maximum data rate:

14999 / 85965

Noise margin:

10.1 / 11.4

So back to the same issues i had 6 onths ago

and orhers having the same issues

last time my speed dropped to 6 mb wholesale locked the spped to that until it was reset

80Mbit, getting stuck at slower speed.

Totally different issue.

Your circuit has bene banded at 67meg by DLM due to is detecting instability.

Re: How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

It looks like DLM has taken action to stabalise your connection. With a max download of 88Mb I wouldn't expect your SNR to be at the target of 6dB I wouldn't expect it to be 11.5dB.

Have you tried a quiet line test? 17070 option 2. Any noise report a line fault, not a broadband one.

Re: How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

yep

Done all that test show line ok

same as last time when bt were upgrading the dslam

but they will not auto reset the ip profile they just lock it down

so can you mods help me out again

its either the dslam or the exchange again

once reset it will go back up

this is BT fault so why do they not help

Re: How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

BT cannot auto-reset DLM on VDSL connections, Openreach won't allow any ISP to do it. Only an engineer can request it after fixing a fault.

Re: How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

So the round robin starts again

Talking to the helpdesk who do not understand your issue

they keep stating that the line is ok and within the agreed speeds.

It seems only the mods willing to help and try to get thinks sorted

About time the helpdesks were brought back on shore

India seems to much driven by the scripts

Re: How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

If DLM is taking action on your line it is pointless just resetting DLM without fixing the underlying problem that is causing DLM to act. That is evident by the fact you previously just had a DLM reset and the problem has re-occurred and should you just get a DLM reset you will be back to square one with in a short time.

You will need to report a fault stating that your line is repeatedly disconnecting and dropping the connection and that you require an engineer to investigate the fault.

Re: How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

I tried to report it

India kept coming back that the landline and the broadband were stable

Even though they could see from there records that the line speed had dropped from 77.44m

now it is showing as 52mb so i am now into infinity 1 grounds  will bt give me a refund for poor service

no one last time could find a fault but the line that time dropped to 4mb

the last time was when bt were raising the top speed to 80 mb

not it looks like they are rising it again as i show almost 90 mb

so if no fault then and no fault now why is the speed dropping ....

India would not send a engineer as the line was within guaranteed speeds.

So thats why i am asking the mods to help it was the only way last time i could get it sorted.

once they got involved i got a engneer down he got wholesale to reset and speed jumped back up to 78 mb

no issues for 9 months until they started upgrading the exchange and the dslams again
