Re: How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

What upgrading of the exchanges and cabinets are you referring to?

Re: How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

it went from 76mb to 80 mb about 9 months ago

looking at my max speeds the download appears to have go up to 90 mb

so i assume the software in the dslam and the exchange is being updated

ho else can the speed increase

Re: How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

A crosstalker may have ceased their connection. Something generating ambient "noise" close to the circuit such as a generator may have been turned off.

There are many reasons.

There have been no changes made to the DSLAM's other than the ability to reduce the target noise margin if a line is stable. Even then it's not on all cabs nationwide.

Re: How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

you say no changes in the dsalm

so why are the upload and download speeds up from 19mb and 80 mb

Still getting the hub6a resyncing my ip profile is down to 52 mb

BT india still say landline and broadband ok stable

Maximum data rate:

25099 / 86458

Could be a crosstalker that has turned off their modem.

Re: How long does it take for a ip profile to restore

Contacted BT again

Got a onshore guy mike could not be more helpfull

agreed that my speed was half the speed it should be

Went though all the test landline ok and the broadband

told him router was in test socket

after about 15mins of test said well cannot see why issue arranged for enginer to cal Tues pm

got a text today from BT stating that they had spotted a broadband network in the area

so were cancelling the appt and fault should be fixed by the 8th aug

Strange i had been telling them it was a fault in there network to cause a drop like that

When i Looked at my mobile record i found when the engineer call for the same issue back on Jan 10th

So we will see if they fix it

Now waiting for a text message to get me to boot my router

80Mbit, getting stuck at slower speed.

No

Bt openreach have agreed that it is a fault on there network

and are trying to sort in out now

So it must be the dsalm as that the bit they work on

80Mbit, getting stuck at slower speed.

Well

No Text or Phone call

Broadband still as bad

Tried ringing the helpdesk

Even they could not find out what was happening

so if my speed has dropped to inf 1 do BT give me a refund until the speed goes back to what it should be
