It will be on the pole that serves the properties.
I do not see this green box, only the poles with two cables running. One is thicker. Is the box supposed to be there, what is it?
The cables split at a pole about 10 m from the house they go one direction to us (no FTTP available) and the other to our rental cottages, all three of whom can get FTTP according to the OpenReach website.
Its a fibre splitter that distributes the individual fibres to the properties. Did you speak to the FTTP team on the number I posted?
Not not yet, I have been out taking photos of the pole. This is what is attached (the yellow sticker says caution fibre ahead):
That number takes me to an automated line and I cannot get access to a specific FTTP team, first I was asked if I wanted BT infinity then BT TV.....it wasn't very helpful.
Thanks for that number, it helped a lot. We now have the options for the installation.
We also have a business line and I need to call a different number to see if this is a connection option but it may not be.
If you can get residential FTTP then you can get business FTTP (that is a fibre splitter on the pole).
However for business you'll get help and advice from here.
They’re not Splitters. They’re Pole Mounted FTTP DP’s for Legacy (Blown Fibre).
The 'thing' in the top picture was installed on our pole in January and the engineers called it a splitter - has ports for connectorised fibre.
