Hub 6 re-booting about every 20 days

Hi all, im wondering if someone may be able to help or at least shed light on why my so called smart hub keeps resetting itself roughly every 20 days. It been doing this now for approx 8 months. It last did it 2 days 7 hours ago whilst I was away and the house was empty. I have done a quite line test and there is no noise and I have connected to the test socket and the same thing happens. My computer is connected via ethernet.

I am at a loss and any suggestions /help would be appreciated, Thanks

Re: Hub 6 re-booting about every 20 days

First time I've heard of every 20 days, every 14 can be a norm. It does not seem to have affected your connection though,

A third party routher would resolve it if it really bothers you though.

Hi @speedster

It’s resetting itself to ensure it is functioning at peak performance. I recommend some research on DLM (Dynamic Line Management).

Re: Hub 6 re-booting about every 20 days

Must be on an ECI cabinet as your SNR is at 6dB. Should be stable enough though even at 5.9dB. DLM should only readjust through the early hours too so you shouldn't notice it unless it drops out because of a fault on your end.

Re: Hub 6 re-booting about every 20 days

if you are on an ECI cab then no you are on the borderline already in terms of target SNR of 6 as ECI cabs do not support G.INP / 3dB target margins. If your cab supports G.INP then if your line remained stable enough for a long period of time your target SNR would be lowered to 3Db and G.INP would kick in.

post your cab details from the DSL checker on BT wholesale and @pippincp can maybe have a check for you 🙂
