Hub5 or Hub6 ?

Go to solution

After negotiating a new contract I was offered and sent a shiny new Hub 6. My present Hub 5 with a hard wired repeater (made from a Hub 3) is problem free, so other than having a spare in the cupboard any advantage in swapping them?

Another question for the Gurus, can I replicate hub name and password in the new hub so it would be an invisible swap over....if that makes sense.

Keep it as a spare, don't swap it unless the old one fails.

If you do need to use it, you can give it the same SSID and password as the old one.

Thanks for confirming my own thoughts. I just wanted it confirmed that there was no technical advantage...so it's off to the cupboard for the brown box.
