IP Profile Reset

Hello,

How would I go about requesting an IP profile reset? My attainable rate has dropped recently and my line seems to be fine so I believe a reset would allow me to again sync at a higher speed.

I've tried the master socket and still the same, I'm using a Huawei HG612 and my stats are below:-

Re: IP Profile Reset

What do you mean by relatively quiet? When using the quiet line test it should be silent but for the announcements. 17070 option 2.

Is it just your attainable the has dropped or actual?

Put your phone number in HERE and post results. Remove phone no before posting.

Re: IP Profile Reset

Sorry, yes the line is silent. And that site seems to be down right now but I'll try again tomorrow.

My actual speed has dropped as well as attainable, I'm seeing just below 60mb rather than around 70 like I had been previously.

Re: IP Profile Reset

your connection speed at 67mb is slightly above attainable so connection looks ok and your profile is based on your connection speed not the other way round.  there is no guarantee on download speed.

As quiet line test is silent then you are basically getting very good speed for your line and not reset is required

Re: IP Profile Reset

Here's the requested information for completeness. Is it just something I'm going to have to live with that the speed has dropped? Is it just the cabinet filling up, etc?

Re: IP Profile Reset

So because it's within the expected range, the speed drop recently is down to factors that are outside of anyone's control? If so, that's disappointing but fair enough.

Apologies, the exchange is BURTON JOYCE and I'm on Cabinet 2.

Re: IP Profile Reset

did you change package or have you been having problems with dropped conenction?

you have lost G.INP which resulted in drop in speed.  if your connection now remains stable for 7/10 days then DLM will activate G.INP again which should give speed boost you are looking for

Re: IP Profile Reset

I have had a few drop outs, yes so that's probably it. I'll keep an eye on things over the next few weeks then, thank you.

Re: IP Profile Reset

if you have had drops in connection have you checked your phone line for noise   dial 17070 options 2  should be silent and best with corded phone from test socket   any noise is a problem and need reported as phone fault to 151
