IPv6 is active on Infinity 2 in Portsmouth

Great news everyone, seems that true to their word, BT have started rolling in IPv6.  I am using a Draytek Vigor 2860 as modem and router.

well done BT!

Yes, I have had it live for a few days in SW London - on Infinity 1

My connection was also upgraded today to 55MB which I wasn't expecting to happen for a while.

This plus the infinity changes are likely to woo quite a few people over I suspect.

Re: IPv6 is active on Infinity 2 in Portsmouth

Hmmm... I can't seem to get it to work. I've got Infinity Option 2 in North London and I'm using an Airport Extreme with the supplied Huawei modem. I get “IPV6 Relay Error.” Did you do anything special to make it work?

Not sure as I run a Draytek Vigor 2860 as router and modem. If there is a setting for ip6 then you really only need to put it on to a ppp setting to connect, everything else is automatic.

Suspect it's a phased rollout?

I imagine so but there are plent around the country that have reported ip6 connections to me. Seems they started enabling it with the faster infinity 1 speed hikes.

Re: IPv6 is active on Infinity 2 in Portsmouth

I'd agree with webby in that it's phased and therefore pot luck whether you have it or not.

My connection with the latest BT Home Hub firmware still shows "IPv6 Configuration is not currently enabled as your BT Home Hub and/or BT Broadband Network are not enabled for IPv6."

Regards
