Re: Infinity 1 Basically broken and engineers seem unable to do anything

Go to solution
OK so following the engineer visit today (who stayed for 4 hours) we are back to:

22Mb/1.3Mb
Noise 6.3/6.3
Att 28/13

No drops and phone working with no intermittent crackle. I don't think it would have been resolved without this engineers (Dave from Flitwick) uncompromising dedication.

Probably best to keep this open for a few days just to make sure it is all ok given both the number of previous problems and all of the work undertaken today.

Hi @Mr_7,

Sorry our call got disconnected earlier. I was calling to check if the connection issue has been sorted and if you're happy to close the case. Can you let me know how you're getting on?

Cheers

Hi David, sorry I keep missing your calls. Yes it seems to be a lot more stable. We’ve had a few disconnects but it seems ok. Think it should be ok to close. Thank you to you and the team for getting this resolved.

Thanks for getting back @Mr_7.

I'm really glad to hear this is sorted. I'll go ahead and close things off at my side but if you have any further problems please post and we'll be happy to help.

All the best

REOPENED Re: Infinity 1 Basically broken and engineers seem unable to do anything

Go to solution

Going to reopen this. Pretty much same problem as original post. Bad crackling on the line (you can hear it in normal calls, and really badly on the quiet line test.)

Internet wont connect when phone is connected. When phone not connected internet will connect but cuts out ever few minutes.

Tried changing filter plate to micro filter in master socket no change. tried second router and multiple phones and all exhibit same issue.

I've got an engineer coming out on monday as thought it was a phone call issue only but now realise the broadband doesnt work either. BT phone support said their line tests completed ok which is just ridiculous.

Will make a new post as this cant be marked unresolved.
