Infinity 1: Periodic dropping of internet connection

Problem: Desktop PC wired directly to hub. Connection drops periodically - no regular occurence and often restored (by itself) within 60 seconds. Naturally not ideal with streaming, gaming etc.

What I've noticed:
1 This problem only started in the last month or two  - nothing changed on the network.
2 Accessing router during downtime shows 'Internet: Disconnected'
3 Quiet line test sounds fine.

Very grateful for any help.

Re: Infinity 1: Periodic dropping of internet connection

your current down noise margin is at 2.7db suggesting G.INP is active which has improved your conenction speed to greater than attainable  have you notice if your noise margin fluctuates and drops low <2db just round about time connection drops?

Re: Infinity 1: Periodic dropping of internet connection

No, I haven't noticed anything.

I can check this info when the connection drops and report back.
But what if noise margin is fluctuating? And is it something I need to sort or ...?

Thanks for replying!
