Thanks everyone you've all been a great help!
PaddyB, I've filled out and submitted the contact us link on your profile 🙂
With those line stats I dread to think how short your line actually is to the cabinet. You sir are one lucky person 🙂
BT Infinity (EASTF) 58.93/15.94 Mbps [IP Profile: 60.8/20 Mbps] using Openreach Modem & Billion BiPAC 7800N
The engineer came out today. This is second hand information from my brother as I was at work.
The engineer tried a different router to confirm the speeds. He confrimed 75Mb/s to my brother as the speed on the line. I believe he was talking about the max data rate to the router from the rather than the actual speed.
Other than that, everything is fine with the installation, he checked the master socket and the BT Data extension kit.
I have no idea if he went out to check the cabinet or not.
I guess if the line is fine and the installation is fine it may be a problem at the supplier?
I tried to do the Test 3 on the website, but changing to the router login username to speedtest@speedtest_domain didnt work. It connects, but the test fails as if it cant even connect to the test page URL.
Here is the router stats page too. Nothing has changed except BT-FON has now been enabled.
Can you run a speed test with another Ethernet cable connecting your computer to the hub and or by wireless.
Another update everything looks good now!
Tried a different cat5e cable and brought my computer downstairs to do the direct connect to the router speed test rather than an old netbook connected to the router directly.
Speeds are looking fine now and consistant across wired devices in the house.
Thanks everyone for the help!
