Infinity 2 Slowed

Hi

Had infinity 2 for 2 years now and had download of 59 meg with virtualy no fluctuation in speed. Last christmas whowever it dropped to 16 meg. After 4 calls to bt and being told it was the devices connected to it (nothing in the house has changed) engineer came out and found crackle on the line and cleared that getting it up to 35 - 40 meg. But no more, and as 40 is minimum for infinity 2 they are not interested in getting it up to where it was (59meg) Anyone have any idea why its done this ? /both hub 5 and hub 6 tried.

Re: Infinity 2 Slowed

Can you post the stats from whichever hub you are using

try quiet line test. Dial 17070 option 2 should be quiet and best with corded

are you using test socket with new filter?

enter phone number and post results remember delete number https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/adsl.htm

Re: Infinity 2 Slowed

if when you connect hub to test socket with filter you try quiet line test again and if still noise then report a phone fault to 151 - not broadband   fix line noise and broadband will improve

Re: Infinity 2 Slowed

If you have crackling or noise on your phone line you will need to report a telephone fault. Do not mention the broadband problem or they may go down the wrong route trying to resolve the problem.

Once the phone line noise has been sorted your broadband problem will also be sorted and your speeds will begin to recover.
