A bit of a strange one and BT wont help so I'm turning to the forums 🙂
I've upgraded to BT Infinity 2 and had a HH 5 installed by their engineer. Using the BT Wholesale speed test, it shows my speed as 75+ Mbps down with an IP Profile of 77Mbps (all good so far) However, any third party speed test shows my speed as only 37-40 Mbps and any large file transfers also run at 37-40 Mbps which would suggest the third party speed tests are accurate.
I am connected with a ethernet cable direct to the Homehub with 100Mbps connection. I have tried speed tests on multiple machines, on both Windows and Mac OS, swapped out all cables and even swapped out the router but still getting the same results.
I strongly believe that I am not getting the full 77Mbps on my end machines, but BT wont't help me as the wholesale test shows the correct speed so their response was simply "don't user third party apps"
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results
and use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down.

Second test result:
And whenever I use a third party speedtest I get the below result:
Thanks in advance
To be honest I don't know why you should be getting the different results. As you have said, the only one recognised by BT is the BTWholesale one and they won't do anything regarding speeds based on other speed tests.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge about the way speed tests work will be able to give you an answer.
I've disabled the AV but getting the same results. I've also tried this on another Windows laptop and a Macbook all giving the same result. 😞
Sort of, When I first moved house they said I had an Infinity 1 profile by mistake. At this time the BT Wholesale speed test also showed 37Mbps. They advised they would change my profile and now the Wholesale test shows the full 77.
