Infinity 2 now down to 56mb/s from 78mb/s in 2 weeks

Hi, I've been very happy with my infinity 2 until a couple of weeks ago some engineers spent 3 days at the fibre cabinet at which point my speed has dropped from 78 to 56mb/s today, I thought it may have been an issue with my HH5 as it has been playing up when allocating IP's to new devices so purchased a smart hub, this has made no difference, I don't know where to go with this as BT has said my speed is good but how can that be acceptable when I've dropped 20mb/s in 2 weeks!! Hopefully I've posted all the relevant info below -

Broadband speed test from BT wholesale page -

Download speed - 56.48

Seems your line has been banded, possibly due to a dropping connection.

Is the router connected to the master socket, or an extension?

Have you tried the quiet line test dial 17070 option 2 you should hear no noise if you can hear noise then it needs reporting to BT faults on 151 with no mention of broadband in the call

Just done the quiet line again to confirm but no noise at all on the line, they're underground cables as the estate was built in the past 8 years

Then you need an engineer visit.

Re: Infinity 2 now down to 56mb/s from 78mb/s in 2 weeks

I've checked with some of the other residents on the estate, they're having similar issues with a drop in speed, what can I do to get an engineer to look into this without having a fight on my hands? thanks.

You're below the minimum expected speed, there should be no fight 🙂
