I've been on BT's Infinity 2 service for over 5 years now and never really been satisified with my download speeds.
I recently tried the ultrafast fibre test only to be told that it isn't available right now, which is fine, but it says I should expect speeds up to 77mb and at worst 47mb on "superfast fibre 2".
My smart hub says I am synced at 44mb down which to me isn't good enough for what I pay (currently over £60 a month for various BT services).
I recently discovered the checker and it looks like my line should be capable of faster speeds...
I guess my question is, should I contact BT and get them to do a line test?
Or is there anything else that can be done to increase speeds?
I have already tried connecting my smart hub to the master socket and get the same DL & UL sync speeds.
Thanks in advance!
You do have a test socket which works whether adsl or vdsl. You need to remove the middle section as well as front
Once you get up and running in the test socket repost your connection stats.
Also do a quiet line test 17070 option 2. Best with corded phone.
Ok I'm in the test socket now...
