I have Infinity 2 unlimited and since 6pm Friday my speeds plummet during peak hours.Out of peak hours I get 74.5 mbs in peak hours I drop to as low as 4mbs upload speed not effected.I phoned BT on Friday night and was told someone would phone from the network team within 48 hrs (never happened). So I phoned again this evening and eventually spoke to someone from the the network team.I was told the fault would be fixed within 24 to 48 hrs and that I should expect my speeds to drop during peak hours.I explained to drop that much is a bit of joke when my ip profile is 77.4 mbs and it goes in the red under 16 mb s. I then went to my BT:Report and track faults and I have a green tick and underneath says resolved. My last speedtest taken at www.btspeedtest.wholesale.com was 6mbs.So what is going on?

Step4: Connect to the internet then click make a new connection Broadband PPPoE
Step5: Username email@example.com and the password as BT
Step6: connect, If it doesn't,keep pressing try again until it does.
I don't think the problem is with your setup as I have also been experiencing this peak time slow down since Friday as well. Normally my download is 58mb, but each evening it has dropped to about 2mb. Upload remains largely unaffected at about 15mb.
Someone else I know who is on the same exchange (North Finchley) and also on Infinity 2 is also experiencing exactly the same issue.
I've tried calling BT, but gave up after a while on hold. I'll see how things go tomorrow and then try calling them again if things are not back to normal.
