Had infinity 2 installed end of Nov, speeds were fine for a couple of weeks. Then at about the same time as everyone else complaining on here, about a month ago, speeds have dropped to adsl speeds in the evening. Fine from early hours till early afternoon. Not what I really want when I've waited so long to get fibre to end up with a service slower than my previous adsl supplier. Especially when it costs 40 a month!
I have a HH5a which hasn't been too bad with staying connected, but have suffered a few times with the PPP LCP Send termination bug the HH5 seems to have. I've just got a HG612 to unlock, so I can hopefully get rid of that problem!..

IP profile is down to 58.96, this has dropped I'm guessing due to dlm kicking in from the resetting HH5
As you can understand I'm not very happy.
I have not contacted first line support as I can not be bothered with the script of reset you hub,,, etc... Been a IT engineer long enough to know what I'm doing!
Thanks for the reply Ray
I'm just looking for a firmware on Kitz.co.uk
I can see this helping with sync stability,,, but what you think is causing the slow speeds? Have read so many posts with the same thing.
I did think congestion at first,, but it's the speed loss at the same time every night.... plus the amount of people with exactly the same problem across the country.
I'm wrexham about half mile from exchange, couple hundred metres from cabinet..
Once you've found the firmware, you may find killall btagent works for you
Thanks Ray for the info.
Right,, Hg612 been up and running nearly 24 hours, no drops :), connected at near 58. Just done a bt wholesale performance test,
Please could a mod contact me as I really find this unacceptable, adsl speeds for the price of infinity 2. It's not a one off, it's been every day for a near month! I think Ofcom is the next port of call as Bt is NOT providing the service they promise.

Has your speed returned to normal as from today (14th Jan)?
I'm on the Rhos exchange but have been suffering the same effect as you...up until today. Now all seems good, though for how long is another thing...but lets hope thay've found the issue and solved it ....PERMANENTLY!!
