if you could get noise margin back down to normal 6db that would improve you conenction speed nearer your attainable which would be with range 'A' of estimate
Any advice on how to get that noise margin down?
I tried plugging directly into the test socket but that didnt help (and using a new wire, just in case).
I did the noise test on the line and it was completely silent.
Is it something that will just improve over time if I keep the connection stable? Or something BT could look into?
As you have no noise on your line and used the test socket without improvement keep the line stable (ie. no HH reboots).
If no improvement after 14 days either get back here or contact the wonderful offshore helpdesk.
Almost 14 days of stable connection with pretty much no improvement in noise margin or speed 😞

you need to just maintain connection with no resets and DLM will make the reduction in noise margin and increase in speed but from other posts it can take more than just a couple of weeks
