'16mm bit for a bit of Cat5?'
Yes, the 16mm wood dril bit Openreach Engineers are issued is the same width, well obviously a little bit wider so we can easily push through a 2, 3 pair Cat5e or 4 wire through the hole.
That's 16mm long, not wide. The width is about 5mm.
'OK but 16mm in length ain't going to get you though a door frame?'
Oh yeah, tell that to the two door frames I drilled through yesterday and the one I drilled through last week.
Trust me mate, I do FTTC Provisions for a living for a well known company that starts with a 'O' and ends with a 'H' Can't tell you the full name of the company as it upsets the resident Call Centre Workers but I'm sure you can guess which one it is.
The zero key on my keyboard isn't working, sorry should have mentioned that in my original post.
HA HA, I'm only jesting ya. To be honest I meant 160mm, I didn't notice I missed the 0 even when I copied/pasted it. My bad.
