I would be really grateful if someone who has had this issue previously could let me know how it was repaired. I reported the fault and was told it would be repaired by yesterday but no improvement in speeds and no further contact....
Was with Sky for years without an issue, but since switching to BT last month I have nothing but problems.... 😞

It sounds like a congestion issue which will get resolved eventually by BTWholesale increasing capacity. It is not possible to predict timescales as they will vary depending on what is required to increase the capacity.
Same problem here Keany. My minimum guaranteed speed is 68 Meg, but only achieves 2 Meg at peak times. Engineer has investigated but he didn't have a clue and left with a smirk on his face.
I will be calling BT to terminate my contract under Ofcom code of conduct, and will be returning to Sky asap.
One of the Mods contacted me and this was solved really quickly. Something called a "Hot VP" - connection was moved over, and, touch wood, all is well!
