Re: Infinity issue - websites will not load!!

Odd. What do these settings look like when you have the Homehub connected as normal?

Re: Infinity issue - websites will not load!!

I think the OR modem is broken. Did you try a factory reset on it? ya know hold the reset button on the back of the modem for 15 seconds (long time) & let it reset to see if that corrects it?

Re: Infinity issue - websites will not load!!

Hi

Just tried it...nothing. Some kind of routing issue on BT network I'm thinking. The support has been terrible! Useless...if its not determined what the issue is tomorrow, I'm cancelling and going back to sky i think.

Unless I've been capped, but i've been assured thats not the case, as they just bill you on excessive use...

Re: Infinity issue - websites will not load!!

I'm inclined to agree with l_s your modem is borked.

Easiest way tro get a replacement is to unplug the modem, ring in and tell them there's no lights on and you've no connection. Obviously don't tell them it's unplugged. If theyinsist on going thrugh the script - pretend to do it.

Re: Infinity issue - websites will not load!!

Spoke to BT again this morning, and they are sending out a new Hub...not sure this will help, as we think its the modem. He said they don't send out modems unless the lights are not on...so will follow your advice after I've tried the hub.

thanks

Matt

Re: Infinity issue - websites will not load!!

Hi
Any further news on this situation?
I have had similar problems & BT sent a new Hub but I still get intermittent problems with web pages not loading -- on 4 different computers!

Re: Infinity issue - websites will not load!!

Try changing your DNS servers on the PC to use Google - 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
