I am having BT Infinity installed on Friday. However, I am not sure if my internal phone wiring will be up to the job. At the moment the external cable comes into the flat via bedroom window. Then it travels to the middle of the flat where there is some messiness involving what I think is either a master socket or an extension socket and a disused remotely monitored house alarm.
If this configuration (which I expect to be sloppy) causes a problem, would the engineer be able to simply 'cut' the cable at the bedroom and install a new master socket for me?
