Internet connection frequently flatlines

For a number of weeks I have been experiencing frequent drops in internet connectivity, with not indication as to why.

Service will be running at relatively decent capacity... ~ (high 40s low 50s Mb/s down, around 16Mb/s up)

...before suddenly and sharply dropping to nil, with zero internet access, though the network connection remains.

I have been using a wired connection via a powerline adaptor (BT brand), but today switched back to wireless in an attempt to fix the issue. Unfortunately it seems the issue is not limited to the adaptors, as the wireless suffers the same random flatlines.

The issue was typically fixed by unplugging/replugging the adaptor, but sometimes persisted even beyond multiple repluggings. Disabling and enabling the ethernet port and/or the wireless card yields very little by way of results. Similarly, restarts have no effect.

Any help and advice would be extremely welcome as this is interfering in a major way with my home PC use.

Please let me know if you need any further information from me.

Thank you.

Re: Internet connection frequently flatlines

Do you have a Homehub 5?
If so can you post the line stats found in Troubleshooting/Helpdesk, lines 1-13, please?

This link may work http://bthomehub.home/index.cgi?active_page=9140&active_page_str=page_hdesk&req_mode=1&mimic_button_...

Re: Internet connection frequently flatlines

I think you have a faulty homehub. You should ask for a replacement.

Re: Internet connection frequently flatlines

You can try a factory reset first, see if that fixes it

What leads you to believe that? Did you see something in the image I posted?

Re: Internet connection frequently flatlines

Yes, the VDSL uptime seems too long for it to be the well-known rebooting problem and your IP profile doesn't look like it's suffered. It could be wireless interference but your wired homeplugs are also affected. Chances are it's the Homehub lan-side.

Re: Internet connection frequently flatlines

I have factory reset the homehub, and will wait and see if the problem is resolved.

Thank you for you input so far.
