Always had a stable connection for 3 years but since last week my router keeps rebooting every few hours , any idea why ?

Check your phone line - is there a dial tone? If there is dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone preferably from test socket with a filter
I’ve got a built in filter and a very old landline phone which I don’t use
when I press two I hear a quiet but steady hissing sound
Is that correct ?its syncing at 80/20 which is unusually fast for my line. It’s usually about 75/18
Router keeps rebooting twice per day ?
Probably becaust you have noise on your line. Ring 151 and report a noisy line.
Ok thanks. Do I call it on landline or my mobile ?
will I be able to get through as it’s corona virus out break. And will I likely need to get an engineer out ?
The helpful bloke on the phone said it would be an £85 charge if the equipment was damaged my end which I agree too as I’ve definitely not touched the sockets or the router ever since I moved in early 2019
the mk2 socket however looks abit odd as it looks like it’s not joined together properly so my concern is the ex tenants may have done a botch job? Picture attached

Engineer visit booked thanks
I am unsure how the "engineer" will be able to check your internal wiring for, as I understand it, home visits requiring entry will not be carried out until June.
Did they give you a date?
