Hi,
I've only ever been able to get FTTC 80MB internet to my flat.
Today I noticed this box above my front door and I think it must be for FTTP? (Nobody has notified us apartment apartment owners)
Following the cable down, it leads to this bigger box near the ground floor service cupboard, with the yellow tag:

However when I put my address into the checker at https://www.openreach.com/fibre-checker it says it is not available and they do not have any plans to build?
So am I mistaken and this could be for another purpose?
Thanks in advance

Re: Is this for BT / Openreach FTTP
That is Openreach FTTP (MDU) , so if it’s ‘live’ then ordinarily you could order, so presumably the equipment is fitted but not ‘lit up’ or there are discrepancies with the addresses within the MDU
https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome
https://www.openreach.com/forms/fibre-broadband-availability---customer-form
enter your address at the first URL , does it show WBC FTTP as available ,
If it doesn’t fill in the formwize on the second URL ,
If the equipment has just been fitted you may be a little premature expecting availability so soon after the equipment is fitted ,

Re: Is this for BT / Openreach FTTP
Thank you for your reply.
Link 1 suggest it is not available.
I think the equipment has only been fitted in the past few days (I would have noticed it sooner, if it were).
I wasn't really expecting to it to be available this quickly, but the fact that Openreach's website says they have no plans to provide it here, had me wondering what it was!

The link is correct , perhaps try later ….if the kit is very recently installed then it’s not surprising that the section of the OR site you used doesn’t show this , MDU’s are a bit of a niche , how and when they get done AFAIK is not particularly done to a schedule due to the complications around obtaining permissions / wayleaves etc .

Re: Is this for BT / Openreach FTTP
Just an update for anyone involved / anyone who might be reading this in the future for information.
I saw men pulling cables through in the street on 3/3/25, and today it all seems to have gone live, and I have been able to place an order.
Our records show the following FTTP network service information for these premises:-Multi Dwelling Unit Residential MDU No Anticipated Issues.
FTTP is available and a new ONT may be ordered.
