Just upgraded to infinity 2

Hi all.

I was currently on option 1 and getting about 52mb.

In got an offer for option 2 and it started today.

I'm now connected at about 61mb download and 20mb upload.

The upload is spot on but in disappointed in the mere 61mb download.

My father lived at my address before me and he was on infinity 2 and got full 76 !

Do I need to wait for a few days for the line to settle ?

Re: Just upgraded to infinity 2

In order to find out what services and speed range you should be getting, please enter your phone number into this form.
Broadband availability checker

Please remember to edit out your phone number before you post the results.

Then, if you have a HH5 can you go to hub manager then trobleshooting then helpdesk and post lines 1-12

Or post the information from the smart hub, using this link.

http://192.168.1.254/0000012803/gui/#/technicalLog/information

Could you please post the results from the http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/, including the further diagnostics, this must be done using an Ethernet cable.

Re: Just upgraded to infinity 2

Your line estimations are 78-59meg. 61 is within that range.

Are you connected to the master socket or an extension?

Don't forget the information from the HH that @Keith_Beddoe has requested either.

Re: Just upgraded to infinity 2

Aye it falls within range and is connected to an engineer fitted pre filtered master socket.

My disappointment is when my father lived here before he moved he got full 76mb on same line.

Re: Just upgraded to infinity 2

Until we get the requested information it is pointless us commenting any further. Any comment could be totally wrong.

When we see the router info and speed test result we will be in  a better position to advise.

Re: Just upgraded to infinity 2

It's possible that there's been a bit more uptake on the cab since your father lived there. As a result, crosstalk will be higher, resulting in a lower connection rate.
