Re: Low upload speed, erratic connection

Believe it or not I have nothing with an ethernet port! Even my laptop is wireless.

Re: Low upload speed, erratic connection

You're going to need to test with a wired connection, because wireless is susceptible to interference.

Re: Low upload speed, erratic connection

You could get one of these for your laptop from a well known auction site.usb.jpg

Line stats look good for the attenuation, except for the upstream, which could indicate a line fault. Can you try connecting via a wired connection and see if the same issue occurs? If not, then it's most likely a wireless issue.

The low upstream data rate would indicate it is a broadband fault not a wireless fault.

I know, but even though the upstream rate is low, the connection is stable, so the erratic symptoms are unlikely to be caused by a physical line issue.

Re: Low upload speed, erratic connection

Just sent details Neil, this is however being dealt with by the executive level complaints, they dont think there is a problem either!

Re: Low upload speed, erratic connection

What's weird is that the upstream rate is very low, but the connection is stable, so that's why they think there isn't a problem, but there is.

If ELC are dealing, mods won't be able to assist.
