I've moved into a house couple of years ago - the set up was inhertited after previous owner.
I'm on 55/10 and was getting around 43/10 for last couple of months.
The previous owner has replaced BT master socket and installed non-bt socket. I've had a fault with BT maybe 3 years ago and had BT engineer over. BT man advised that this non-bt master socket should be removed as its not used, there is alos a ringer which takes some line capacity.
Recently I decided two remove the non branded BT socket and short 2 wires toghether as there is no need for 2 sockets.
My phone and router are connected to second socket.
The speed went up to 47/9 however the ping went up to 50ms.
Ive checked the logs couple of days ago and both far end and near end was on interleaving.
Yesterday upload was put to fast connection however download is still on interleaving.
I've done a quiet line test with corder phone and there line appears to be fine - no crackling at least.
I've checked the DSL stats on the router and it appears that there a lot FECS errors - but I've read that it's acceptable.
Could someone look at the stats below and advise if they are acceptable. I understand that higher ping is caused by 986 Interleave.
|Actual PSD||5. 4||dB||5. 6||dB|
|Near End||Far End|
you have max connection speed for your package 55/10mb you can't get any faster unless you upgrade
Thanks for coming back to.
Due you think the interleave be likley removed in the connection is stable in next few days.
Should i be woried by FECS error on download. Stats on upload doesnt seem to refresh or may be they are none hence its on gfast
my connection has been stable for almost 10 days see the stats below
unoftuntely interleaving hasnt been removed
should I be woried about increasing crc errors - it appears that every night couple of crc errors are added to the table
would putting back HH that i have help removing interleaving faster?
Today an interleaving got remove of my line. It was on for 28 days. Hopefully it will stay like that
Kept the router on for most days, however it has been restarted every couple of days due to different reasons. The router was on for last 5 days. Just couple of crc and es a day.
