Looking through the technical log, I find the following:
Maximum data rate:
20526 / 68647
14 dB / 10.5 dB
Looks like there is scope for higher speed with Infinity2, but do you actually need it? Unless you are streaming multiple 4K channels simultaneously you won't notice the difference.
with noise margin at 10.5db certainly scope for faster connection possibly mid 60s
@licquorice you will notice it if you upload a lot of large files
Thanks guys. In that case, will certainly look to get in touch with BT to enquire.
Given my usage I think I can benefit.
Might it be worth seeing what happens to those posted stats over the next few days, or are they fairly stable on new connections?
with such a high noise margin I think line should be ok
just check for line noise by dialing 17070 option 2 should be quiet and best with corded phone
Thanks for the tip, will do.
However, that does remind me of something potentially relevant.
We are currently renovating the house and as a result the landline phone is actually disconnected. I therefore don't have anything plugged into the ADSL filter other than the DSL cable for the Hub.
Once we have finished renovating and I've re-connected the phone to the filter, could this potentially affect any aspect of the line stats?
