Re: Milton Keynes / Bradwell Abbey Exchange / FTTP Trial

Goose, if that information about Watercress Way is accurate you will be my hero!!

I live on that road, and about 6 weeks ago had a couple of BT guys turn up at the door to sell my infinity (which I signed up for)

The next day I thought I better check with BT and got told we are not getting it - and havent been able to get a straight answer since!

I am DESPERATE to get off the 2.5Mb I currently get - and if this is true and we are getting it I will be dancing around the lounge!

If anyone sees any OR/BT people on Watercress, could they ask and post? I know I will!

Re: Milton Keynes / Bradwell Abbey Exchange / FTTP Trial

From all the posts I have seen, the bulk of the activity is on Milton Road just Tongwell St, so this is likely to be the main distribution point, so it looks very good for old Broughton (imo).

I am still hopefull the will at least do some of the new builds, as there seems to be some movement on the FTTx to flats issue.

So will be watching like hawk.

Re: Milton Keynes / Bradwell Abbey Exchange / FTTP Trial

Wingman_1 - Where abouts in Broughton was the engineer working?

Apart from the fibre fleet in Tongwell (a few weeks back) and Milton Road last week, I have not seen or heard anything.

I did get some information from MKC and they said that BT/OR had not ruled out putting PTTP in Broughton Gate, but it was still unclear eactly which parts of Broughton are getting FTTP.

Well they've been in Broughton Square for a good few days now but more than that I don't know.

Re: Milton Keynes / Bradwell Abbey Exchange / FTTP Trial

On Friday I saw them gathered near the south end of Swanwick Ln. Just the 3 square BT/OR vans. Although there were some bigger vans digging up Newport Road.

Re: Milton Keynes / Bradwell Abbey Exchange / FTTP Trial

According to the engineers working in Broughton Square, FTTP will be installed in Broughton, Broughton Village and Broughton Gate....

Now let's hope that is true and timely..

Yep, just spoke to a BT engineer working in Broughton Sq and he has confirmed the above mentioned. He give it about a week for the trial runs to start.
