Modem says 67Mbps, Wholesale test says 64Mbps profile?

Hi all,

My modem the Draytek Vigor 130 says my line is connected at 67000Kbps with an attainable rate of 69474904Kbps but according to the BT Wholesale line IP profile is set to 64.85. Does that mean that my line is banded?

67000Kbps is 65.43Mbps not 67Mbps so looks fine to me.

Possibly, as you are syncing at exactly 67M with an attainable of 69M not because of the IP profile which will always be lower than your sync speed due to overheads and is about right for 67M sync.

However, if you can tell the difference between 67M and 69M in the real world you are a better man than me.

I hooked up my Draytek to recheck the settings, look at the attainable compared to line sync;

are you or were yo having problems with connection stability - router/modem dropping connection or manual reset or both?

My line used to be 73Mbps but it has been synced at 67Mbps for months now with no line resets, the uptime on the modem is crazy.

obviously the uptime on the modem is improtant as far as internet stability so can you expand on your comment

The modem has two line resets in the last 4 months.

Certainly looks like it. Your attainable is much higher than the figure you quoted in your original post so worth pursuing. You will need an engineer visit to get a DLM reset.
