I've had FTTP for approx. 2 years.
To get a better deal I transferred the line to my wife (new account, new phone number - take over of existing line).
Phone number changed succesfully a week ago.
Still on old speed (200,20) new account should be 300,49.
Spoke with BT at lenght - they sent an Openreach engineer this morning, the engineer confirmed nothing wrong with fibre connection & that BT need to cease the old connection and start the new faster connection.
Ideally don't want to waste time trying to explain this to the people on the phone again as they don't seem to understand the problem.
I had great help from a moderator when the original install was a disaster - can someone help again please?

The moderators cannot help with FTTP issues, you have to contact the FTTP team on 0800 587 4787.
