I’m moving into a property that currently has a Sky service.
I will be transferring and upgrading my BT package when for when I move in (Full Fibre 900 / Full Works / Digital Voice)
I have an engineer booked for moving day, as advised by customer service, but was wondering if it is actually necessary?
The image shows what is in the property at the moment. Is this sufficient for the new services?
Any help would be great. Thanks.

Yes, it needs an engineer visit and no, what is already there in not sufficient. FTTP (Full Fibre) is a completely new connection and involves a new box being fitted to the wall called an ONT (Optical Network Terminal).
Edit: That doesn't have to be in the same location and it will need a power socket nearby, so some thought as to where you want it beforehand is in order. If possible, they will put it where you want.
Further to this, when I spoke to BT about the service at the new property, as indicated by my earlier post, they assured me that full fibre is available.
Since then the engineer has been out and told me that it is not connected to the property and works will be needed to make this happen (ie digging up the front drive).
I spoke to BT about this, and whether I could use what is here at present (copper fibre? Fibre to cabinet, copper to property?) and they said no - no new orders with anything to do with copper.
So, according to the person I spoke to, my only options are a) full fibre with digging works which I doubt the property owners will entertain; or b) a 5G router (!)
I would appreciate any help or insight into this, as I find it difficult to believe that the two contrasting optimns are all that is available to me, especially as there is a perfectly capable service here right now (via Sky / previous tenants) which is to be shut off very soon!
In areas where full fibre is available Openreach put a stop sell on copper services. No ISP who uses Openreach will be able to place an order for copper services.
Best have a word with your landlord. The civils team will reinstae as best they can do.
