Moving to BT FTTP who tells my old Phone/ADSL supplier?

Go to solution

As my current supplier cannot provide FTTC at my address I have recently signed up for BT FTTP, during my online application I read and agreed to contact my old supplier.

I thought that the new provider did all the notifications and required actions?

Or is it different when you move from a phone/ADSL service to a phone/FTTP supplier?

If so at what point do I contact them and will I receive a cease charge?

Thanks  Derek

Normally the "new" supplier does contact the "old supplier about the move however to be sure I would also notify the "old" supplier in this instance and only  your "old" supplier will be able to tell you if there is a cease charge. BT no longer levy one.
