Re: My experience of Full Fibre

Go to solution

Thanks everyone. I will just have to wait and see what happens on the 23rd March. That is all I can do at the moment.

Update:

BT Executive Resolutions team just rang! They *may* be able to get me an appt for 11th March. But will confirm next week.

They assured me that Openreach (and MJ Quinn) should be fully prepared for the installation.

The fact that I double-checked with numerous other providers such as Sky, Virgin, EE, Vodaphone... and the fact that they all said they could not provide the broadband as it was a newly installed FTTP and that BT had a monopoly - that's how I got that idea!

If they REALLY said that, then this should be reported to Ofcom!

Update: Openreach engineer arrived today. No fuss and we discussed the installation which was excellent. He had some help from his manager who was really understanding of the original issues with MJ Quinn but all resolved now.

Happy to report that I am getting the bandwidth as expected from my entry level 100mb product so all is good. Will close this post soon.
