Yes, tried it last night and no success, I also checked that this router supports IPV6 and apparently it does.
Had read that Netgear won't & have no intention of supporting BT's implementation of IPv6 , something about the prefix length I believe. I can't add more as I've no idea about this.
Hope this isn't to much bad news, below is a quote from Netgear to their forum members.
Re: IPV6 with BT Infinity - NETGEAR Communities
BT Infinity ISP uses IPv6-PD IPv6 configuration our devices do not support IPv6-PD configuration and we do not have any plans to support this on D6400,D7000, D7800 or D8500 in future.
I am going to try to update the Netgear Firmware tonight and if still struggling will take screenshots,
Yes, I reads something aboput that but have also read reviews of the D5800 where users had no problems setting up the Router/Modem with BT infinity 1 and 2
Theoretically any VDSL modem should work with Infinity, providing you have the correct settings for the connection.
PPPoE and check if the VLAN ID is set to 101
You have the username and password set already.
The only snag being IPv6 won't work properly, might be usable if you have a tunnel service set up but it's still not native IPv6. Though that should not hinder getting a connection.
I am delighted to report I cracked it!
Up and running and Soooooo fast :0)
All it needed was a factory reset then set up easily
What a relief.
I can therefore confirm to other Netgear users, the D5800 definitely does work with BT infinity
Thanks you so much for your support,
So Mr Bassetts - does it connect or not?
