New Build Property Fibre Activation

Hello!

I've just moved into a New Build home. Openreach fibre has been installed (see picture) and the new build development site managers have said they have contacted Openreach (not sure how they do this) months ago and also more recently when I complained that fibre wasn't available.

But still, when looking for any full fibre options for any providers (talktalk, ee, sky, etc), entering my address returns the results of 'not available yet' (this is also the case when entering the postcode on the openreach website on the fibre checker).

However, when I enter various neighbours address (literally for houses on the same street) they have all access to buy all the available options when looking at any fibre providers. So this makes me think it's an Openreach issue where they have to do some 'activation' on their end? But I could be wrong...

Any help would be extremely appreciated! Many thanks in advanced 🙂

This is a BT forum, not an Openreach forum.

If you wish to use BT as a provider, call customer services and see if you can place an order 0330 1234 150

As the PON LED is green, you have physical connectivity to the fibre network.

Re: New Build Property Fibre Activation

To reiterate what’s already been said , you seemingly are are considering various providers but BT was conspicuous in its absence from the list of ISP you have tried  , so your issue is hardly a ‘BT’ issue , …the fact is the ONT shown is ready for service, that means Openreach have already authenticated the ONT onto the system using the ‘address’ the builder/developer gave them  , that may have been the plot number  , whereas you will be using the house/street number, I’d start by checking that the plot and house number ‘match’ with the developer, then if they do ask the developers site representative to ask the Openreach FBC to check OR records
