I purchased a new HomeHub 5 through amazon. Set up was easy and all worked fine, 3 days later the internet is down and no phone tone. I have reset and called bT but no joy so far?
Unplug the home hub and then try your home phone to see if it works in the test socket. If not, then report it as a phone fault, as its probably a line fault.
Once the phone is working again, the Internet connection should restore.

Is the Hub connected to the test socket via a microfilter or via a SSFP?
As Keith has said, connect just the landline phone to the test socket, the line should be quiet.
