I am currently on Virgin for fibre broadband and telephone.
I am moving to BT and my install is soon.
Currently the Virgin install involved them cutting the BT line and then using part of the remaining line to put our phone socket in the kitchen.
Do I have to accept that the new BT install will go to the same place?
OR... can I ask the engineer to fit the master socket at the back of the house which would mean an extra run of about 5m.
FYI its fibre to cabinet then telephone line from pole to our house.
Thanks for any help.
Yes, they can install it pretty much anywhere within reason and as long as there is the appropriate TRC Branding on the job.
@Starwire Do all Openreach engineers have to have that brand on their **bleep** and show it before installing the master socket?
I wonder what Qube engineers have to have?
Alternatively you could always say what "TRC Branding on the job" actually is.😂
I thought everyone knew what TRC meant. Especially given people **bleep** themselves about it every time they need an Engineer out.
