Non working landline

Why is it such a problem to get my landline working with full fibre? it worked fine before the upgrade and now despite numerous phone calls navigating the menu system from hell and a visit from two engineer it has been referred to TMC twice and despite many promises to call me back it is still not working I have tried phoning in from my mobile it makes ringing noises on my phone then goes to messages, obviously we are not able to access messages on 1571 why is it such a problem in this day and age?, We are both pensioners, my Wife has had a stroke, I am disabled I have had enough of it and want to cancel my landline, how do I go about that can anyone tell me?

Regards, Gary and Haf Rowlands.

Re: Non working landline

when you upgraded to full fibre were you also change to digital voice?  if so have you connected your phone to the green socket on the back of the BT hub?  if you have can you enter 192.168.1.254 into your browser address bar then enter hub manager does it show your phone number and if so is it active?
