Is there noise on your phone line? Dial 17070 option 2, should be silent using corded phone, slight hum may be apparent via codeless phone.
If noisy call 151 and report the noisy line, don't say anything about broadband.

Have you tried resetting the router? Push a pin/paperclip into the little hole in the back.
Using the ethernet cable from the router to your computer can you connect to the Hub?
If so how is the internet connection?
