Re: Order an upgrade of infinity but now being offered only copper

Tried that Keith, the screen shot I took says that the file is too big to upload!

You should be able to reduce the file size, there are plenty of utilities that do that.

The other option is to simply copy and paste the screen, into this thread, then edit out the phone numbers.

Neither of you are showing VDSL connections, so I cannot see that you neighbour can get a faster speed on BT Infinity.

Re: Order an upgrade of infinity but now being offered only copper

I know, but like I said, he is getting 40-55mbs. So I don’t really believe that page.

I’ve also now confirmed today with another neighbour that he now on infinity from cabinet 3 and he’s getting 45mbs. And worse still he ordered from Bt after me!

Can you repeat the check using the address option please?
http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.addressOutput

I think cab 3 is really new and the databases haven't finished updating yet

There is obviously something strange happening with this new cabinet so see if mods can get some clarification for you. They will post here

Totally agree imjolly, and I really feel it would just take an engineer to come out and get this all sorted for me...

Re: Order an upgrade of infinity but now being offered only copper

Hi @Gmac1

Welcome to the community and thanks for your posts!

I'm sorry that you currently don't have a broadband service.  I understand that you cancelled your existing service due to advice that you'd get a faster speed on the closer cabinet.

I can full appreciate the frustration at now being told that you can't get service off that cab and that the ports are full in the cab you were connected to.

Can you send us over your details and we'll look into this for you from here?  I can't promise that I'll be able to do anything differently but I can make sure the records are correct and if there is a chance we can get you back on to the fibre product we will.

Click on my username here >> RobbieMac << and you'll see our contact link on the left hand side underneath my profile picture.

Cheers,

Robbie
