Packet loss and ping spikes

Hello, I've recently switched my provider to BT and started experiencing packet loss and ping spikes that result in 'stuttering' while gaming, especially when playing FPS games.
My PC is fairly high end, connected to the hub with an ethernet cable.
I'm on the Superfast Fibre Unlimited package and get around 30mb download (which is slightly below the guaranteed speed but never mind that), the upload averages around 5-6mb.

Thank you

Re: Packet loss and ping spikes

Any noise on your line? 17070 option 2, best with corded phone.

Could you post the connection stats from the hub.

HH6 Advanced settings/technical log/information.

Enter your phone number HERE and post the result, remove your phone number
before posting but leave exchange & cab info.

Re: Packet loss and ping spikes

There is no guarantee on download speed - no ISP guarantees download speed

all speeds quoted by BT and shown on dslchecker are connection speeds not download speeds

Re: Packet loss and ping spikes

Here's a screenshot from Path of Exile, which has real-time in-game tracking of ping, fps and frame time.
