Thanks for replying. The speeds aren't the issue. Most of the time we get a good 39/7 Mbps service. It's the periods when we suddenly get 0 Mbps download but with a bluelight on the router that we're trying to fix. Thanks again

have you checked when your problem happens to see if any noise on the line? is it possible there is something in your home that is causing interference possibly switching on/off at the times it happens
if factory reset didn't fix it or a new hub then maybe try the tplink router
Thanks again. No noise on the line and home installation checked by Openreach. Also Openreach REIN check returned no problem. Our own electrician checked wiring and devices etc.
I will try the router idea.
