Despite all my efforts to get the persistent disconnects fixed I have had to accept that there is no solution. So the complaint and this thread is now closed.
Just in case they drop off a cliif anytime soon I thought it worth posting that things seem to have settled down at last after 10 days of daily drops and gradually reducing speed. Is this DLM at work perhaps ?
